Monday Night Concert SeriesGuastavino: Las Niñas from Tres Romances ArgentinosFeb 4, 2013
Simons Center for the Arts, Charleston, SC "As a duo, they had perhaps their finest moment in the next piece: “Las Ninas” from Tres Romances Argentinas by Carlos Guastavino (1912–2000). This beautifully sultry movement stood out in large part because of how perfectly Amy and Chee-Hang played in unison. So many sounds, so many colors, and all as one voice. They made difficult look easy. I can’t imagine it getting any better for a duo " ~ Review by Peter Ingle, CharlestonToday.net |

Franz Liszt: Reminiscences de NormaLiszt's transcription for two pianos
April 3, 2012 Simons Center for the Arts, Recital Hall College of Charleston, SC "There was one passage, in particular, when Chee-Hang’s right hand executed a lengthy sequence of soft and feathery runs up and down the keyboard over the prevailing melody—to particularly magical effect. The fair-sized crowd showed their love with a raucous standing “O.” - CharlestonToday.net |
